Clinical Background

Lucille Leader is the Nutrition Director of The London Pain Relief and Nutritional Support Clinic in London, which has pioneered the idea of a "multi-disciplinary" approach to the management of chronic illness, especially Parkinson's Disease. The clinic is based at The Highgate Hospital, View Road, London, N6 4DJ. Appointments are made by telephone: +44 (0)20 8445 4550. Contact may be made via her on-line E. mail form.

Lucille Leader is particularly interested in the biochemical aspects of nutritional support of patients with chronic illness and her special interests are Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

In Parkinson's Disease, she has broken new ground internationally. Her work points to the influence of nutrition on cellular environment, drug response, as well as the necessity for specialised nutritional management of patients in order to support general functional health.

Lucille is an invited, highlighted Featured Speaker at The Second World Parkinson's Disease Congress in Glasgow, Scotland in September - October 2010.
The Organisers of This Congress have stated the following:
"We are thrilled and honored that these outstanding members of the Parkinson's community have agreed to participate in the WPC 2010. The speakers we highlight we believe help move the science and care forward, expediting the discovery of a cure and improving quality of life for patients in the meantime."

She has received an award in 2004 from the Parkinson's Resource Organisation, in the United States, for her contribution to "Quality of Life in Parkinson's".
